Jonathan Ramotsei
Jonathan Ramotsei is a seasoned Community television practitioner. He started his career as in 2005 at Soweto Community Televison also known as Soweto TV.
With his previous employer he occupied different roles that include working as a show researcher, producer and presenter for current affairs shows. While performing these roles he also assisted the management with community engagement activities. It was his stella performance on these roles that persuaded his channel head to offer him Consumer Marketing. He was later promoted to Head of Stakeholder Relations. The position was later changed to be Head of Community Relations and Business Development. Mr. Ramotsei is an Advance Bronce Communicator of Toastamaster International.
On his private space he has also created many other community orientated projects that aims to lead development in different communities. Among others is the famous Miss Teen Soweto and the Calabash Media brand that focused on the development of community media.
He holds different qualifications that include among other Essentials of People Management and Essentials of Broadcast Management from Rhodes University’s Sol Plaatjie Institue of Media Management. He has other qualifications from UNISA. Currently he is studying Bachelor of Communications with UNISA.
Mr. Ramotsei had a privilege of his work being recognized by many other institutions’ who have used his services for their own projects, among them is the Office of the Premier in Mpumalanga for their Initiative To Establish Community TV in 2022 and by IEC as a National Youth Ambassador in the 2009 National Elections.
He joined Platinum North West TV in 2021 as a channel consultant. Later he was requested to lead the License Application process as License Application Officer. In February 2023 he was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of the project.
